“Jerry was a fine and kind man who helped many. Aside from his monumental collection of hats he was funny, friendly and caring. While visiting a friend in physical rehab after hip surgery I saw Jerry every day caring for his wife. He will be greatly missed.
“I was saddened when I heard of Jerry's passing. See him with his hat at viking games and on Saturday morning always brighten the day. He spent time helping others see what God wanted for them. My prayers for his family.

“Jerry was truly too wonderful for words. No matter how I felt his hat collection could always bring out a laugh and a smile! My heart goes out to his family who he spoke so fondly of often. He was a man that would reach out to lighten another's load in any way he could, and I will always remember him for that. Be at peace dear Jerry.
“Such a shock! Such a loss! My heart is heavy for you all. Please accept my love and prayers for you now and in the days to come.
“JoAnn, Christy & Michael,

“Jerry was a good friend,I will miss his friendship and unique personality.
“I'll bet you're lighting it up in Heaven just like you did here on earth. Thank you for being my friend. I hope to join you someday.
You were one of the happiest and most uplifting people I have ever known.
Your passing came as a total shock to me. I hope you were wearing one of your favorite hats at the time.
Have a great hereafter!
“We will certainly miss Mr. Boyd's visits to the bank and there were always had lots of smiles and laughs with him when he came in! Loved the hats, we never quite knew what to expect and were certainly never disappointed! Prayers and peace be with his family during this difficult time.......
