To all of the Bryant family, particularly Travis:

It was devastating to hear the news of Jerry's passing last week, and I am regretful I was unable to join you all in Roanoke last week to celebrate his life and legacy.

Jerry was a selfless father and a great coach. His tough demeanor but genuine compassion and love for all of his players molded many young men, myself included.

Brenda - I am so sorry to learn of Jerry's illness and death. I remember Jerry as always having a smile and having a lot of fun. You, Jerry, and I graduated together at WBHS. I know you will miss him beyond words. I pray that the Lord Jesus will give you peace and comfort in these challenging days.

I cannot begin to tell you the sadness i felt when i heard of Jerry's passing. My sister in law sent me the notice in the Roanke Times. From the time i met Jerry as pledges at DKS he was one of most memorable men i ever knew. I am Sonny Boyd and I was Jerry's wrestling coach at Wm. Byrd. I was very fond of Jerry. He was a fine young man and I know he grew up to be a fine man. I know he will be missed.
