Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Joanie's death. My heartfelt condolences to her family and also to Emma. I met Joanie and Ed when they adopted their first akita Callie from me. Joanie was an inspiration and a true angel on earth. She will be missed.

Words cannot express my thoughts at the loss of Joanie. She was so dear. I am remembering more than 50 years of friendship....elementary school, high school and all those horseback riding adventures, BGSU. Letters, phone calls, then emails....even though there were times when we lost track of each other, we always picked up the thread of communication eventually. I will remember her humor, her spirit, her sense of adventure, her wonderful friendship. She was a true treasure.

Going to camp sometime in the '50's. That's Joanie looking down next to the suitcase.....

Joanie and I spent many hours at Blackman's....riding, working in the office and the garden, riding through the fields, tramping through the woods.

Joanie was a valuable member of our Book Club. She always had a smile to share. She will be very missed.

Joan, we'll miss your quick wit and your gentle heart. Even Saturday afternoon at the hospital, you were cracking wise with everyone. What a beautiful spirit! We have always looked forward to seeing you and we hope, in time, those memories will help balance the loss we feel now. Our prayers and thoughts remain with Kim and the rest of your family.

Joan was a wonderful person. I am so sorry that she has passed. She will be missed.

Joanie was "The Gem" in our family tree. She always had the "glass half full" attitude...alwys smiling, always positive no matter what trials she faced. She was the "glue" that kept us all together. What she left each of us will remain a treasure forever.
Love and prayers,
Joanie and Phyllis

Joan was one of my best friends at Northridge and BGSU. I wish I had known she was back in Ohio. I have great memories of our early lives livng next to Uncle Dan and Aunt Wilma. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
