My dear, dear friend for 60 years. The heavens must have needed another beautiful and loving angel, I'll always remember and love her. It's so difficult to say goodbye or to add honor to this book sufficiently, Nancy Sweeny Marshall

There is an empty space on the dance floor at the Elgin Moose. John's dance partnership with Joan is no longer. So sorry.

Please accept my sincere and most heartfelt sympathy. Joan was my teaching partner first, but loyal friend most of all. I will always cherish getting to know and love Joan. She was truly elegant, respectful, genuine, and kind. Joan always amazed us all with her limitless energy and love of life. She lit up when she spoke about her dancing evenings with John.
