“It is sad to learn of Mr. Etheredge's passing. My condolences to all of the family. It has been years since I have seen any of you but you all hold a special place in my heart because of the years that I knew you while in Mt. Pleasant. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
“LaVerne thinking of you and many cherished memories from South Waco. We will always remember that you and John were the ones that introduced Bryan and me to each other about 40 years ago and that must have been a good thing because we will be married 37 years in September. Love to you and your family, Bryan and Carol Sedberry
“Uncle John was one of the kindest gentelmen I ever met. He made each person he came in contact with feel special. He made me feel like I could accomplish anything in my life and made sure I knew it every time I saw him. He is dancing with angels free of pain today. I will miss his amazing smile.
“Papa John was a wonderful man. I know he will be missed by all. I talked to
Betty Reagan a couple of years ago and found that he had moved to be closer to Gramma Bernes family. I still stay in touch with Jeff and the boys and pray that Papa Johns passing will be not be a terribly sad event. He was a great man and Heaven is his reward. Freddy Koehl
“Thank you Papa John for all the great memories: fishing on your lake in Trinity, playing with our cousins at numerous family reunions and all the love you showed us. Love you!
“Dad, we will miss you so very much. All my love.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you at the difficult time. I worked with Mr. Etheredge at Brazos Electric from 1974 until he retired. He was a sweet man. Pamela and Joe Cook
“We remember John fondly and the good times we had when you lived in Waco. Our prayers are with you.
“Dear Etheredge Family,
We were very sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Etheredge. I was his secretary for a number of years at Brazos Electric Power. He was a fine gentleman and a great boss.
May God provide much comfort to you all during this time.
