“Every time I go back home I look for the farm in Montezuma, where john & Anne worked hard . They let my children go in the barn and see the cows and the chickens and all the other interesting things at their farm.John was on a tractor last time i saw him and so friendly to me and my family.I am saddened and will miss him. Lou Ann Myers
“John was a great person and I will always remember him as the farmer that let us play in the barn and swim in the river. The farm is one of the best places from my childhood and I'm grateful for the times my family had there. Anne gave us a Manx calico cat called Henrietta and she was a great mother to her many kittens. Thank you both so much.
So sorry to hear of Johns passing. I have fond memories of stopping by your farm weekly with my family to buy whole milk and to see what baby animals you two were fostering at the time. My family & I had just drivin by the old farm last month as we began our wine tour at Montezuma Winery. You two hold special memories in my heart. Love Lana Dutton- De Vettori

“Anne: Some of my fondest childhood memories are of John and his mother Lucy. I grew up on the farm next door. My parents were very close to John and were so pleased when he found you. He was a dear, funny, kind man with such integrity - the kind the world needs more of. Nancy Traver Baker

“Anne & family,
My deepest condolences to you all. Anne, yours & John's kindness were responsible for some of the best memories that my family share. I can't thank you enough for allowing us to fish, and camp down on the riverbank . I remember watching out for Ferdinand (?) ( the bull). John taking a few minutes from his chores to visit. All of you are in my prayers.
