Not sure what to say?

We met Johnny in 2003 when our children John Joseph IV and Annah Marshall were going to be married. We were immediately taken with him and though his son John said he was a man of few words we had many long, wordy and interesting conversations. Johnny had met Elvis at Graceland at a party he attended during college and the Supremes once sang "Happy Birthday" to him. This was a wonderful tribute to him, which in his modesty he failed to tell even his sons until recent years. But the...

Annah, John, and family,
My peace be with you at this time of loss.

Toby, we were so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. Please give our sympathy to your family. We love you.

Toby,
We are so sorry for your loss. We join with you and your family In prayer as you give the one you loved so much back to God.

Dear cousins, sending my deepest sympathy for all of you. Every year when we were young I'd look forward to the big station wagon of the Joseph family to come and brighten our summer. Johnny will be dearly missed and always thought of. I love you guys.

John, I have retired; but I had the pleasure of helping you and your father in the Reference Department at the Decatur Library many times. I remember your father as being soft spoken, polite and very patient as I searched for the information he needed.

I always thought your mother and father had taught you well because you were also patient and polite when you requested information. Not sure if you remember me, but we have talked numerous times at the library after you moved away...

Cecilia, may God comfort you and your family during your time of loss. Our prayers of comfort and encouragement are being sent your way.

Toby,
I'm sorry for your loss. I did not know John personally but grew up with Chris and knew you and it's obvious that John was a part of a wonderful family.

I was probably one of the first cousins to welcome little Johnny into the family. Being 2 years older it was interesting to see this shy young man grow into a savvy businessman. We last visited at the Hannie family reunion, I am so glad I had the chance to hug his neck and I look forward to seeing him along with other family who have gone before us. Becky Jo Hannie Bussey
