“To the Palmer family I am very sorry for your loss. May God be with you all during this difficult time.
“I had the good fortune of getting to know John when our sons were in Boy Scouts. Surely he was as pleasant as any person I have ever known.
“To John's extended family~
We have many fond memories of Uncle John at family gatherings; he will be sorely missed. We hope and pray that we will make more time to get together for more joyous gatherings and believe that through faith, we will be reunited in heaven. May you find peace and be comforted at this difficult time. God Bless.
“John's son Jamie is friend of my daughter extending back to high school times. Some years ago I was in the hospital the day before bypass surgery. John, who had had bypass surgery following a heart attack came in to visit, told me about his adventures in surgery and while his had not gone as well (he pulled out tubes on awakening) he calmed me and better prepared me for my surgery. I was and continue to grateful.
“Your kindness and compassion for others will always be remembered. I recall all the fun that joyce, you & i had during the nursing school days in Omaha.
You will always remain in our hearts. Thanks for being my friend. Mary T Reynolds Hopkinton, Ma
“We were fortunate to meet John this past summer at our family reunion. His warmth and kindness were evident from the start. Joyce and family, you are in are thoughts. May God's love and peace ease you through this difficult time. With love and prayers,
“I am very sorry to learn of John's passing. As a real estate attorney, I had the opportunity to work with John at Old Republic Title Insurance Company. He was very knowledgeable, professional and gracious to work with. He will be missed by many.
“I am grateful for the life of Mr. Palmer. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
“Thanks for your Military Service to Our Country.
Past Commander V.F.W.
