Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. May the Most High God comfort you during these difficult days. (Psalm 83:18)

Tailwinds, Captain! Wow, first guy to 1000 hours in the A-7.

Cheers, Wadds

Skipper John Patterson was our VA-93 XO and CO through A-7A to A-7E transition in 1977-1978 at NAS Cubi Point and aboard USS MIDWAY (CV-41), and I will never forget his unique and very effective style of leadership. Always cool, calm and collected, he set an example for everyone to emulate and follow. More than once when later faced with tough decisions, I stopped and asked myself, "what would Skipper Patterson do?" He was one of a kind and will be remembered by many Sailors,...

I was stationed at NWC China Lake, Ca. 1979 to 1983 and Captain Patterson was one of our A-7 pilots. I was one of his Plane Captains. Captain Patterson was well repected and it was an honor to have worked with him. My Deepest sympathies to his family.
