We enjoyed being with John at our Blacksmith meets. He always brought something of interest to be auctioned for a fund raiser. I won a Chesnut Bow he turned. We love the bowl and will cherish it even more now that he is no longer with us. He was truly an artist as well as a great person, we will miss him very much.

I know the other wood turners in the area miss him a great deal, as so many of them looked up to him. It was a pleasure to know him and to work with him.
God bless you all and know that you are not alone in your...

So sorry to hear of John's passing. We played together in the orchestra at FBC Roanoke for many years. I still remember his whistling along on other orchestra parts when the sax had long measures of rests.
