Not sure what to say?

You were the best teacher I've ever had. You taught me to enjoy learning, including stubborn foreign languages!

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. GOD PROMISES US THAT WE WILL SEE OUR LOVED ONES AGAIN, MAY YOU FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT HE IS WITH YOU NOW.

RIP

RIP Mr. Summers. My prayers go up for your family, friends, and former students. I thank you for teaching me Latin 1 and 2 in 1986. I also thank you for being such a great history teacher, mentor, and friend to my son this school year. Many lives were touched by the way you taught school as well as morals to so many students. You will be missed by my son. God give those who love and miss you peace!

Mr. Summers was a great teacher. I had him last year for US History Honors & even though I was never a fan of history (my worst subject) I loved his class. You never expect something like this to happen right before graduation, but when it does, it makes you think about all the wonderful times you had. Mr. Summers was an amazing teacher and he will be truly missed. Stacie Ross, Class of 2013

Jerry and I were saddened to hear of the death of John Summers. He was a friend to both of us. John was a dedicated and devoted teacher for 30 years at Marianna High School. He will truly be missed. RIP John.

John and I started teaching together at MHS in 84-85. I left in 1997 but returned to MHS in 2006. John made me feel so welcome when I returned. He has been my friend for almost 29 years and taught both of my children. He gave so much of himself to the school and students. His example as an educator will continue to inspire me and many others to strive to give 100% to those we serve. My only regret is not telling him how much he meant to me while he was here, although I think he knew. I will...
