Not sure what to say?

Only now (2017) learning about John's passing. Sorry we had lost touch.

John enriched our lives when we attended church and worship together. I still remember the gift of a whiteboard when two of our children joined our family, and he even gave them Chinese red envelopes and told them "welcome," in Cantonese. John was a gift and pillar in our community. I miss him so.

Dear Joy,
Linda and I just heard about the travail of the past months. I am holding you up to God's strength and grace. May you find some degree of consolation in the coming days.

In the friendship of Christ,

David

Dear Joy and Family, We are saddened by the great loss you are experiencing at John's passing. We also rejoice that he is whole and holy with his precious Lord. If we were home, I would want to bring you a cd that was such healing as we grieved Mom's death...Cynthia Clawson's Broken: Healing the Heart. We'll be home mid-June and I'll share it then if you would like. May God continue to bless you all throughout these days of grief. You are such a blessing to Him and countless others. We love...

Joy and Family, Please receive my sincere condolence in the death of your beloved John. Quinn and I had wonderful memories of the several occasions we shared at Princeton, including the birth of the twins. We were not able to trace you after that. After reading about John, I am not surprised at the wonderful ministry he developed, empacting so many lives for Christ in Christ-likeness. May the God of Comfort surround you with his Love and Peace as you take time for your grief work. May...

I remember John well from our shared experiences at Mars Hill Spiritual Retreats in the '90s. I also know Stephanie, Anders and Joy from my work with the Virginia Association of Free Clinics. I am so sorry for your loss. What wonderful contributions he made in his life. He is gone too soon. Nicki Peet, Williamsburg, VA

Joy: Ouch! I send you my love and my prayers knowing God watches over you, Jesus walks with you and God the Holy Spirit holds you in her arms. Karin
