John N. Trotta, of Cape Coral, and formerly of Stratford, CT, passed away August 19, 2011. He was born October 7, 1940 in Bridgeport, CT to Nicholas and Viola Trotta. He is an Army Veteran. John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pat Prendota; children, John Trotta (Kim) of Cape Coral, Trish Riddell (Wayne) of Cape Coral, Tina Finger (Scott) of Ft Myers and Joey Prendota (Stacey) of Cape Coral; grandchildren, John Robert Trotta, Brandi Rose Trotta, Tiffany Lynn Stoughton, Sarah Elizabeth Stoughton, Samantha Marie Stoughton, Justin Wayne Riddell, Scott Finger Jr, Tabitha Finger and Alyssa Prendota; and great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Lynn Wisdom. Visitation will be Fri, Aug 26th at 5pm with Service at 6:30pm at National Cremation & Burial Society, N Ft Myers. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in John's name to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered at www.nationalcremation.com.

Our lives have been enriched having John in our lives. Knowing him for almost 40 years, he was the first person I met at the Cape Coral Fire Dept as a teenager. I just seen him at Uptown Bingo a month ago. Pat our family sends their love and prayers for you and yours in your time of need. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad when I was young I got to know John . I wish I could of came down there to see you all. Pat, Jane Long (sister) sent John's notice. So sorry to hear of your loss. John was way too young to go yet. That's because he was only four years older than I am and I hope to have many more years. We all thought this was going to happen to the four Schultz siblings and then we lost Steven. I know your heart is broken. There is nothing I can say to you to make that hurt go away.
