“How can I think of your Mom as Josephine, when I knew her as Jiggie. That's what she was as I observed and grew to love your family. She jigged through life with a happy and optimistic heart. "Jiggie" was always so proud of her family and always told others how she felt. She blessed those around her and she blessed all who knew her. We know that she is in the hands of the Lord, that she loved. Her examples in life set a high standard for all of us who are left behind. However...
“I love and miss you "auntie".Tell Mother and Yuille the same.
Your loving nephew.
“Jiggie made hers a "life well-lived." She was encouraging, enthusiastic, and generous. Holy Cross will definitely miss this gracious lady. My condolences to her family.
“Jiggie was the warmest, most welcoming women at Holy Cross Church. I loved to see her making her rounds before and after Mass on Sundays, chatting up everyone she knew, and she knew practically everyone! She really made us feel at home when we joined almost 15 years ago! I can only aspire to have her spirit and joy and service to the church and community. God bless her family and may she rest in peace.
“I reached for your hand as I filed down to Coomunion and I didn't find it. You were so inspirational to me, I will always miss you at Holy Cross.
“I am sad to see one of our own Girl Scouts no longer with us. Ms 'Jiggy' loved to know what the Girl Scouts at Holy Cross Church were up to and always offered her help. She will be truly missed.
“My thoughts and memories are with you, Susan and Skipper. Your mom was one of the first to welcome me back to Lynchburg in 2007, I remember her warmly.
“While you were here in our midst
Your thoughts were kindness and good will;
And even now that you are gone,
Stay certain, we remember still.
Memories of the time we shared
will keep you ever near, dear Jiggie.
