Not sure what to say?

I just found out by accident. I'm so sorry to hear of Karl's passing. He and I shared an apartment back in 1985 at the Plantation Apartments complex in Florence. I worked with him at Florence Fitness and got him in touch with some friends at Levi Strauss to obtain employment there after his wanting to make better money. I have since moved to Louisville, Kentucky. I can't believe he is gone. That guy was the most fit person I have ever known. If possible, please email me at...

Thank you to all of you, that have been leaving messages in this guest book. I greatly appreciate everyone's kind words and memories...and I know his siblings and parents appreciate it also. We are now closing in on a year since he left us and, I'm sure I don't simply speak for myself when I say this, the loss still feels as fresh and new as it did when it first happened.

I love you dad. I wish you were here...

I actually googled my beloved father's name, Karl M Tillman, and discovered this obituary. Although you don't know me I want to leave my condolences to your family. i am sure we are likely distant cousins. I am very sad for your loss. God's blessings on all of you. Jessie Tillman

So very sad to learn this news.My prayers to the family.I served with Karl in the Marines in Hawaii and Japan and spent countless hours in the gym with him. He was a excellent mentor and a good friend.

My condolences to the Tillman family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of your family and playing with Karl and Angelika as a child on Hamlin Road. I thank Karl for his service. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Your former neighbor, Pat Johnson

Thank you all for your kind words. I and my children miss him very much and he leaves void in my heart that will never be filled. Though he is gone, he taught me a great deal more than I could have ever imagined or hoped. He remains an idol in my eyes and someone I will always respect. Again, thank you to everyone for your words and sympathies. I appreciate it.

Karl and his siblings were at my bus stop throughout school and I always remember their whole family as being quiet and respectful, especially Karl. Dieter on the other hand always had a little gleam in his eye and a great smile! Thank you for your service Karl. My sympathy goes out to your whole family, especially your daughter. Sincerely, Carol Liberatore

I am so sorry to hear about Karl. I went to high school with Karl and have thought about him many times. He was someone I have never forgotten.

I attended high school with Karl and, though I didn't know him well, remember him with fondness. Thank you for your service, Karl. My condolences to those he leaves behind.
