Kathryn A. Groff, a beloved member of the Plymouth community, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the age of 94, with her family by her bedside. Kathryn was born on July 1, 1931 in Plymouth, Michigan.
She was married to her devoted husband Dale for an incredible 69 years, a partnership that exemplified love and commitment. Together, they raised a family that continues to cherish her memory. Kathryn was a loving mother to William Groff, Gail Cousins, David (Donna) Groff, and , and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren: Scott (Kristie) Groff, Michael (Brandy) Cousins, Richard (Adrienne) Cousins, Patrick Groff, Derek Groff, Shawn (Amanda) Groff, and Connor Groff. She also took great pride in being a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale of 69 years and her parents, Fred and Irva Sockow. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and family values will remain alive in the hearts of her surviving family members.
Visitation will be held at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth, located at 280 S. Main St., on October 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Service will follow on October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
The Graveside Service will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth at 12:30 PM the same day.
