“I always enjoyed speaking with Ken as he walked along Strother Street with his dog. He would stop to catch his breath when he passed my house, and I am sorry that I did not know him in his younger years. He was a pleasure to talk with and I will miss his presence in the neighborhood.

“Ken made many contributions to the work of the Court Service Unit in Smyth Co as well as Bristol & Wash Co. He always asked "who's winning?" and then would say "we're out numbered". He will be missed.
