I so sorry for your loss, Lanny was a very close friend,we lost contact while he was in Germany but still remember the good times we had. I was so happy that Oggie Blegen and were able to see him and visit with him recently. He still had that good memory and wit that I remember! God's greastest gift to us is our memories of Lanny.

I'd like to offer my condolences to Karin and the family of "LARS," as our team affectionately referred to him in his capacity as a warrant officer in the USAR. Having Lanny on my team was a privilege and a godsend for a young officer such as myself as he had many abilities and the right kind of persona that encouraged teamwork and efficiency.
