I'm sorry to hear about your father/father in law's passing. I know you both were extremely close to him from all the times that both of you spoke of him. It seems like such a cruel "catch 22" when the elderly have a serious break, such as a hip. It seems the measures doctors feel they need to take so there's hope the person can be somewhat mobile again often times creates complications that they can not survive. Hospice is wonderful in providing care that keeps them as...

KC,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a good man and a thoughtful neighbor. I remember my son Charlie commenting to me when he was 3 years old (he's now 18), after your dad stopped by to visit on his way home from the mailbox, "That Mr. Mauler sure is a good guy!" We've had many conversations about the old tractor and the Checker station wagon-your dad could make anything run and I don't think I can look at an iris without it reminding me of your folks.

Our love and prayers. Big hugs to you dear KC. There is nothing like our dad. And he was very special and raised an amazing son. Gods peace as we proclaim the Easter promise. Your dad us home with Jesus. Much love. Kathy and Dave.

Even though I had the privilege of knowing Laurence only as briefly as I did, he will be missed. I know it's so much worse for you and KC. I'm very glad KC had some time to be with him in his last days. I too will remember him on those cross country skiing days of so many years ago. He seemed so much more able than most men at that age. -Doug Fix

My sympathies are with you at this difficult emotional time. Knowing how much Laurence meant to both of you, my heart is truly touched and sadden. My own mother departed this world two months ago, unfortunately I was unable to attend her final memorial service. So, the feeling of losing someone that meant so much because of their emotional connection is heart wrenching. Indeed my prays and thought are with you during these emotional times in your lives. God Bless you for your faithfulness...

I will always remember Lawrence as the ambitions busybody.... irrigating popcorn, building or welding whatever, and taking pride of ownership in his fine spread. I think of him often as I work on my spread trying to live up to that old fashioned pride of ownership and achievement.

Last weekend we planted 31 6-8 foot Austrian Pines and Blue spruce on our ridge in a joint effort with our neighbors. This weekend I was irrigating them with my custom designed system and I was thinking...
