Babe, Julie, my husband Jim and I played tennis Wed. nights for years, followed by martini dinners at the Lincoln Del. We Sailed the British Virgins together. Julie kept the cockpit as clean as an operating room. Babe gloried in the galley. After Julie died Babe and I took daily walks around Lake of the Isles. She dragged me out rain or shine. After Jim died Babe was a source of strength and an impressive example of how to survive as a widow. I will miss her . I will miss her. Barbara...

My Aunt Babe was certainly the "coolest" of the five Kropman sisters, full of life, interesting and interested in all of us. She always kept in touch via email - how cool is that for a 95 year old! I remember her laugh as she told stories about growing up, and I remember her sadness whenever she spoke of losing Uncle Julie so young. She wrote often about how wonderful her family was to her. She'd be so proud to see the incredible tribute Jenny has orchestrated by the video and this...

Grandma: You supported me like no other person in my life for 35 years with great candor, and unconditional love. You were my role model for how to be supportive, and my shining example of "true love." It's how I found my wife, because I knew what to look for. You are my Legend. You have inspired me my entire life, and will continue to do so. I, and many others in this family, will help your legacy live on. I will miss you terribly, but try and find comfort that you are with your...

Grandma, my memories of you come when I least expect it. My heart is broken. You were one of my closest friends and we truly had a special connection. I will never take for granted how lucky I was to know you and love you. I will miss you every day.

To the Family of Lillian "Babe" Davis:

My relationship with Babe goes back to 1936, when Babe and I were Sorority Sisters attending college at the University of Minnesota. In fact, I "rushed" Babe for "Alpha Epsilon Phi", and we had many wonderful times pursuing our educations. We married and subsequently lived across the street from one another for many, many years, watching each others children grow.

We have kept our...

Great at triple hugs
Really, really, smart
Always there for you
Never without a hug
Dinner together around her table
Modern art

Books, books, books, love to read
Always letting us play hide and seek in her apartment
Beautiful inside and out
Every day calling mom

Interesting conversations

Loving grandma
Very special

Oh Grandma, where do I even start? You filled my life with so much love and support. There is a big hole in my heart and my daily life now, but I hope to fill that space with the memories we shared and making new memories that would make you proud. Your wonderful qualities will live on within us all forever!

Babe was a sority sister of my mother, Dorothy Blau and best friend of my Aunt Helen Johnson. I have know her my whole life and have special memories of sharing Kathrine Nash's sculpture studio with her. She has always been an inspiration in my life and a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed her emails (and at her age when most fight it). Attached are a few photos taken over the years. Jim Berenson

Babe lived on the same floor as we did. She was so kind and sweet and always had a smile. We are going to miss her and how she always called us " Honey". Our deepest sympathies to her family.
