Not sure what to say?

I loved Dr. Downing! He helped me and my daughter in the past and was quite a character. I was just wondering how he was doing not too long ago! My daughter and I will never forget you Dr. Downing!

Thanks for your Military Service to Our Country.
Past Commander V.F.W.

Dr. Downing will be surely missed. I came to know him over the last 25 years. I only met the love of his life once. I knew he was saddened when she past. I feel this man truly loved and was concerned about everyone he came to know. He was a privilege for my wife and I to have in my life. I am so glad I came to know him. I send my sincere sorrow of his passing. Mostly to the family but also the world.

Brad, My mom thought so much of Dr. Downing. I know how hard this is for you and your family. My thoughts are with each of you.

Remember going to see Dr. Downing many times as a child and was never afraid of him. He even came to our house to treat me when I had pneumonia in first grade. Love and prayers to all his family.

Dr. Downing was a true gentleman and kind to everyone he met. He was my friend and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May many good memories lift you up as you bare his loss...I will miss him too.

To Dr. Downing's family, my sincere condolences. I'm so glad that I had some good correspondence with Dr. Downing in the last few years. He was an interesting person. He jogged my memory about life in the 50's back in Ballinger and I jogged his. I have pleasant childhood memories of Pipi and Didi (Paula and Diana)and Mrs. Downing. I'm so sorry to have to say goodbye to another old and good friend of my family's. I'm thinking of you all as you come to terms with this poignant time in your lives.

He was a sweet sweet person to know and he shall never be forgotten.
I knew him thru the medical profession.

Doc, you really LIVED at full speed. A pioneer in so many ways. He was a part of the fabric that made this country great. He was our great neighbor and friend. Most sincere condolences to the family.
