Farmer Funeral ChapelLonny Dean "Keystone" Keen, 85, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Castleford, Idaho. Born on August 20, 1940, in Buhl, Idaho, Lonny lived a life full of color, character, and unmistakable presence.
A proud Navy veteran, Lonny served aboard the USS Midway CVA-41 and was honorably discharged after four years of active duty in February 1963. His time in the service instilled in him a lasting sense of pride and discipline that shaped his approach to life. Lonny’s passion for restoring classic cars made him a beloved figure in the local car community. As president of the Buhl Bunch Car Club-whose motto was "Take your rod out and play with it"- he led with humor and heart. He was a small-town legend at Castleford's annual burnouts, where his flair and skill were on full display. For Lonny, cars weren't just machines-they were stories waiting to be revived and shared. Known for his larger-than-life! personality, Lonny had an unforgettable presence. Always ready with a quick remark or a new nickname for someone he'd just met, he had a way of making people feel seen and remembered. Beneath his gruff exterior was a warm-hearted man who brought joy and laughter wherever he went.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Amber Rose Keen, Darrin Craig Keen, Shannon Christine Stewart, and Laura Martin; sister, Arlene Puschel.
He now joins his parents, Angie Bessie Keen and Loye Jewel Keen; brother, Elroy Keen; and sister, Rita Severa in rest.
A burial with Military Honors will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, 1:00 PM, at West End Cemetery, 1574 E 4150 N. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 PM at Black Bear Tavern, 19789 US-30. As fireworks lit up the sky across the street the night he passed, it felt like the world saluting a man who lived boldly and departed just as memorably.
