Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Lou's family and friends. I met Lou at the dogpark where we watched his dog Duffy chase after the squirrels that we tossed peanuts to. He told stories of his remarkable life in the navy, teaching, music, and his family. I missed him when he was no longer able to come to the park. Rest in Peace my friend.

Lou was great! I can do a drum roll because of Lou; he taught me. One summer, when I was a teenager (his neighbor), Lou and I painted the Dochterman's house. I don't think he ever climbed a single ladder without lighting up a cigarette first, and then he balanced the act with paint can in one hand, roller in the other, cigarette in mouth... while talking to me at the same time about the Chicago/Midwest musicians he hung out with. I'll miss him.

She appreciated that so much and always talked about the great brother he was. He was a talented musican and a kind and loving person. We love him and send Elaine and his family our ...

I'd like to send my condolences to Elaine Docterman and family.

I knew Lou from playing in Stuart Yasaki's band and Bob Ollness's.

I too played Sax & Clarinet and was in the Navy. I loved the way Lou would always joke around at every rehearsal. He made me feel very relaxed and made my playing a joy. My thoughts and prayers go with him.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
