Not sure what to say?

Margaret,
Connie & I were sadden to hear the news about Gene. We will always remember our back fence neighbors in Algiers.

Bill & Connie Cotten

Dear Mrs. Matthews and Family:

Please accept my deep and sincere condolences upon your loss of Gene, a good husband and father.

Gene and I shared many experiences and assignments early on with CALCO in Leeville, and Harvey. I had not had contact with Gene for many years, but that does not prevent a feeling of sadness and loss at learning of his death.

Blest be the ties that bind.

Dear Margaret,

I was so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Sara and I have many fond memories of our early days with old Calco, living next to each other, and raising our young families together. Its a shame how we drift apart over the years - but its good to circle back even if it is for such a sad occasion.

Best wishes

Margaret,
I was so sorry to learn of Gene's passing last week. I would have given anything to have learned so I could have come to Perry and been present for the funeral. Last year when I stopped by for half a day in September to visit with Gene was the highlight of my year. I do miss him and consider it a privilege to have had him as a life long friend.
My best regards, Dudley

Margaret,
You know how much Larry and I loved Gene, he was truly a "one of a kind" person. We're so sorry we can't be with you today, but you know we are there in spirit. Please give Gene one last kiss for us.

Love to you, the children and the grandchildren.

Margaret,
I am truly sorry to hear about Gene, he was and always will be my partner in crime. I think about those days at LL&E all the time (always good for a laugh). He was a true friend that I will never forget. You and the children have my heartfelt sorrow.
