“My favourite modern writer from my teen years onwards... I loved each book as it came out. I couldn't wait to read them and while I was engrossed in a new story, I felt like I was in the world that Maeve had created- getting to know the unique characters invented by Maeve. A wonderful person. A wonderful writer. Maeve, you brought happiness & joy to so many. You are missed. RIP.
“Just finished re-reading all her books. So sad to think there won't be any more.

“I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I have just started reading "A Week In Winter" and had no idea she was gone. Oh my, I never met her, yet she felt like a friend to me, one that I will truly miss. My condolences to her family.
“I am a huge American fan and love her books. Sadly, I just found out that she died In 2012. I was just getting ready to read "Maeve's Times" and got a shock when I read the author's mini bio at the back of book. I guess everyone is alive until you know they are gone home. Rest in Peace Dear Maeve. Thank you for so many wonderful hours of bliss escaping in your books! I have read and immensely enjoyed every single one. God Bless your family!

“I have only found out of this tragic news, 8/Nov 2013.As a busy mum I found sanctuary in her stories. From New Zealand, she gave me great joy. Thank God for this gift. Rest easy.
“I find the death of my dear friend so very sad. I will miss her and her wealth of work that she left so lovingly behind. Now, she is experiencing other settings and greater stories to tell and write about. Perhaps Mrs. Binchy, knew better than we. I pray she will have many novels ready for all her fans, when we too cross the bar. I know she will smile and put on a pot of tea as only she can do. God bless you and keep you always writing. We'll be there only too soon to read the next best...
“What a rich legacy that she left us. Her writings will be missed.
