“Marcia and I enjoyed working together as District Program Leaders for VCE. Marcia always brought a sense of humor and calm to our discussions about policies and procedures. I enjoyed hearing about her outside adventures and know she is missed among many family and friends. My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time. Christine Kastan
“As a kid I(Kenny) remember Marcia always having fun with all of us growing up ...Allen's...Harrison"s and Burnham's...being the oldest of the 2nd Generation it was fun hanging at the Burnham Homestead....R.I.P and our Deepest of sympathies to the whole Family.
“To the Burnham and Meador families,
My deepest sympathy to you all. May you be comforted by memories of Marcia, those will never be taken from you.
Fondly, Noreen Stilkey Cormier
“I also worked with Marcia in Cooperative Extension just before she retired. I will always remember her dedication and loyalty, and most of all -- the get the job done attitude she possessed. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
Words seem to fail us during these times along life's journey, but please know that you are on our hearts and in our prayers. Sincerely,
“I am so sorry for your loss. As a classmate of Marcia's at Freeport High School, I will always remember her vivacious spirit and beautiful long red hair. May your memories comfort you today and always.
“I served with Marcia on the VCE State 4-H Professional Development Committee for several years. Marcia was one of the leading forces in designing and promoting the 4-H Cloverbud curriculum in Virginia. This is a 4-H educational program for youth who are 5-8 years old. Marcia was so enthusiastic and a tireless, dedicated worker in all that she believed in! She will be greatly missed! She was beautiful inside and out!
“Marcia was a wonderful Extension coworker. Her passion for making the lives of others better and the work of her colleagues more effective was a true blessing. I'll remember a friend that was quick with a laugh, a smile, and a big heart! Mark, I will lift you and all of Marcia's family up in prayer that you might find comfort and peace.
“Mark and family, I worked with Marsha for what seems to be a short time. She was one of the first people to welcome me to Extension. Our paths crossed many times. May God enfold you in his loving arms as you remember and celebrate her life.
