Margaret L. Brewer

Mrs. Margaret L. Brewer, age 77, a resident of Hatfield, Arkansas died Sunday, October 22, 2006 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born October 6, 1929 in Winthrop, Arkansas. She was a librarian at the University of Missouri. She began teaching at Arkinda and also taught school at Van-Cove, Gillham and Wickes Schools. She was a cattle rancher, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Silver Hill Chapter 542 in Gillham, and a Baptist.

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her husband, Durward Brewer; one brother, Don Dossett; her parents, Manuel and Nora Addie McClain Dossett, and a great-niece, Meagan Vay Dossett.

She is survived by one brother, Manuel Dossett, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brewer will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peter Niaves officiating. Burial will follow in the Daniel Cemetery in Wickes.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, at the funeral home.
