Tonight I went to a Modesto Police Dept function and found out about Mark's passing. I am shocked and heartbroken. Mark was a dear friend always smiling and so warm and such a good person. I worked with Mark for 7 years. Although I haven't seen him in years I will always remember the good times at MPD. It has almost been a year, I wish I would have known sooner, my condolences to Mark's family. I know he will missed by many, may you rest in peace my dear friend.

My heartfelt condolences to all Mark's many friends in the law enforcement community. Jerry thought the world of Mark, and I have my own fond memories of their times working together with the canines. I pray for peace and comfort to family and friends during this difficult time.
