Mark Osborne, 59, of East Pennsboro Twp. And formerly of Rutherford, passed away at home on Monday, March 09, 2015 after a courageous 4 year battle with Coronary Artery Disease, COPD and diabetes. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on July 28, 1955 to Clifton Osborne of Florida and the late Margaret Osborne who preceded him in death in 1999. In addition to his father and stepmother, Mary, Mark is survived by his wife Emma. Mark also leaves behind his daughter, Emily of Camp Hill; a stepdaughter, Melodie Crawford of Harrisburg; a sister Jodi Osborne of Lancaster; and a brother, Brad Osborne of Shiremanstown. After graduating from Central Dauphin East High School in 1973, Mark served in the U.S. Army. He later graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College. Mark retired as an IT Specialist from the Commonwealth of PA – Office of the Inspector General with 32 years of State service in 2012. Prior to working for the state he worked for Conrail. Mark was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and he loved his Harley. Throughout his illness, riding his Harley was his physical therapy. He was a charismatic man with great interest in the outdoors and in all forms of music. He was a crossword puzzle/solitaire “King” as well as an outstanding cook. At heart he was a fun-loving person who provided enjoyment to everyone. His laughter and sense of humor will be sadly missed. Mark was a member of the Harley Owners Group, the American Legion and Perseverance Lodge No. 21 of the Masons. A viewing will be held at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 3-4:30pm. Funeral Services will be held at 4:30pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family where Mark will be laid to rest beside his Mother. In lieu of flowers, Mark preferred memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Camp Yolijwa, 1550 Dumpling Gap Center, Newville, PA 17241 (Christian Camp Ministry for children and youth).
