I /We just received the heartbreaking news of Mary Ann's passing. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with her and her wonderful loving husband when I accompanied my best friend to her chemo appointment at Albany med. Both Tom and Mary Ann gave my friend( as well as myself) an enormous amount of inspiration, strength and compassion even though they both had more than there share to deal with they reached out to help someone else, someone they had never met before.
