Mary Anton Obituary
A Liturgy of the Word for Mary Anton, 90, of Dickinson will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Lefor.
Visitation for Mary will be and hour prior to the service.
Mary passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Dickinson.
Mary A. Anton was born on May 10, 1933 in Stark County to Joe H. and Anna (Klemm) Anton. She grew up and attended country school south of Gladstone. Mary began helping on her family farm alongside her parents, and sibling’s for many years. In 1994 Mary moved to Dickinson where she has lived ever since. Mary was a very independent lady and enjoyed spending time visiting with others. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her nephews and nieces: Angela Silva, Beverly Hedges, Cheryll Lindstrom, Randall Anton, Lavonne (Robert) Schaff, Lisa Hansey and Stephanie (Shaun) Lindstrom; numerous great nephews and nieces; and special friend, Marilyn Wanner.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Anna Anton; brothers, Frank, John, Peter and Lawrence Anton; sisters, Kathryn, Lorraine, and infant sister; and niece, Lori Hansey.
