Mary Banks Obituary
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Duane Banks and Randall Banks, and her stepbrother, Ricky Lee Dunn.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Herren and Catherine Victoria Mynhier (Jason); sister-in-law, Christy Banks; brother, Roy Richard (Ricky) Banks; stepbrother, Steven (Bone) Dunn (Nicole); parents, Mary L. Dunn (Junior) and Roy Lee Banks; grandparents, Earl and Eunice Frostick; and grandchildren, Leigha, Dawson, and Dyllan Savage; Anna Grace and Andrew Herren; and Hunter, Caleigh, and Emily Mynhier, all of Brookwood.
She attended Tuscaloosa County High and graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Psychology. She was a gifted singer and loved to sing and play the piano. She was a wonderful grandma, mother, sister, and daughter. Her grandchildren were a great blessing to her and the source of enjoyment for her and them. She was the owner of Banks Tax Service in Brookwood. She loved Alabama football and was a big fan. She was a charitable person and loved helping others.
Pallbearers will be Jason Mynhier, Steven (Bone) Dunn, Julian Peterson, Jeff Dockery, Mark Capps, Duane Herren, Raymond Gilliland, and Mike Lee.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Lee, Bill Lee, and Terry Lee, Donnie Wright, Joe Shadwrick, Daniel Herren, Dr. Kenneth B. Melvin, Dr. Mark Woods and all her tax clients, Derril McCray, Jerry Moseley, Lewis Cook and Jim Elmore, and Gilbert Taylor.

We know where Cathie is now, happy in the arms of Jesus, but we also know where she is not and that is here with her family and friends. My prayers are with her family trusting that the Lord will see them thru this most difficult time.

Dear Mary and family,
Just now finding out about Cathie while looking through the paper tonight! I am SO SAD, and shocked to find out she was in the wreck we were talking about at work Thursday.
She was a good friend. Cathie nursed me through my Tax classes, and did mine after I left. I am so sorry, she will be missed by many, especially her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.

I am so sorry about Cathy. I went to school with her and graduated with her in 1973. We also took band together. She was a very sweet and funny person.
