Not sure what to say?

An incredible woman leaving an incredible legacy. Our thoughts are with you Cheryll and family.

Mary was treasured for her kindnesses, and respected for her role in supporting writers in Southern New Mexico. I always looked forward to visiting with her in her store. My sincerest sympathy to Chery and Paul and their family.

Cheryl and Paul, Mrs. Bowlin was a wonderful lady who gave me the opportunity to work at the bookstore while attending college and will forever be grateful. I learned alot from her and have always been proud to say that my love of reading came from having worked at the Bookstore.

My sincere condolences to you. I trust that you will keep her beautiful spirit and wonderful memories alive. Irene and Paul, I hope you are happy, doing well, and doing great things!

Cheryll, Paul, Irene and Patrick,
It has been my honor to have met Mary when I arrived in Mesilla. She touched the lives of many. She was a special lady to many.

What a great life! And what a great light! I cannot imagine the Mesilla Bookstore without Mary's smile, but my guess is that she and Louise Jewkes will stay around that place for years to come. Thank you, Mary, for being such a singular, beautiful piece of our history.

It is with great saddness that I sign this guest book. I worked for Mary at the trading post for approximately 3 yrs. She would pick us up on Sat. morning and when we finished she would bring us back. She was a beautiful person and very kind. I also worked with her for 2 summers in Ruidoso. I have very fond memories of her. My sincere condolences to her family.
