Gorgen-McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home Obituary

Hollandale – Mary "Eileen" Dinse, age 92, of Hollandale, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville with family members present. She was born on March 25, 1925, the youngest daughter of John "Jack" and Mary (Ley) McCaulley of rural Hollandale. She was raised on the family farm where she worked tirelessly milking cows and feeding livestock during World War II, while her brother Harold served in Europe under General Patton. She worked in Hollandale after graduating from Hollandale High School with perfect attendance! (Something she was very proud of). She married Kenneth Venden of Hollandale and had her son Steven Venden in 1952. Kenneth died in a farming accident in 1956. Eileen then married Melvin Dinse of rural Hollandale in 1961, where they farmed until retirement. Eileen supplemented the family income by professionally cleaning houses in Madison until age 78. She prided herself in having a clean and well-kept home. She was so proud of her town of Hollandale, where she lived her whole life. Eileen loved her family deeply and all her friends in the area. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Hollandale American Legion Auxiliary. She loved gardening, hunting, fishing and cooking for her family. In her later years, she loved to go to "The Log Cabin" and have morning coffee with the Hollandale Community. Eileen is survived by her son Steven (Laurie) Venden of Clearwater, FL; two grandsons Seth Venden of Highland and Kirk Venden of Morton, IL; her sisters Dorothy (Jack) Weirich and Phyllis Stowe; her very dear friend Mary Venden; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Venden, her second huband, Melvin Dinse, her parents, her brothers Robert and Harold McCaulley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Hollandale. Fr. Thomas Gillespie will officiate. Inurnment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Wednesday at the church.

Not able to attend Eileen's funeral.

Many years of memories, specially from buying the farm.
