Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Mr. Aman's passing today and feel so deeply saddened by this news. Mr. Aman fearlessly demonstrated his life philosophy, "Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do", especially after being stricken with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Through his positive outlook he was a great mentor, and through his exemplary actions, he was a great teacher, truly showing that one's "Attitude is Everything"! Mr. Aman was the most remarkable teacher I've had...

Merlyn was the most kind, congenial "Gentle Man" that I have ever gotten to know. We had many good times together in college with our barber-shop quartet and German band combo, consisting of Merlyn, Don Levsen, Bob Kline and myself. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. God Bless you and your family.

Dearest Shirley & Family,

My heart was heavied when I learned of Mr. Aman's passing. He was such a wonderful man and you have been such great friends to the Thomson family for so long. He was a great inspiration to me in my vocal pursuits and without him, I don't know where I would be in my love for singing and in music. Thank you for sharing him with all of us all of these year. We love you and want you to know that all of the Thomson's are here for you just as you were...

Mrs. Aman and the rest of the family,

Our most sincere condolences go out to you at this very sad time. I know my parents thought the world of both of you.

Mr. Aman will be remembered for his kindness and love of music - which he shared with so many.

We'll be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Take care!
The Jim and Mel McNeary "Kids"

Shirley & Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you miss your husband, father, grandfather...He was so special to so many people. Always kind and encouraging to others...always with a smile on his face and love in his heart...He will be remembered and missed. All my best to you.

I was not aware of the physical challenges that Mr. Aman lived with for many years, but I am not at all surprised that he did it with dignity, humor, and optimism. I, too, have many good memories of him as my choir director at Central High. My sympathy to his family.

Shirley and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you peace and comfort. Merlyn was a great man who touched the lives of many people through his work here on earth.
God Bless

God Bless Mr. Aman for all that he did with his life. He was my choral director for 3 years at Aberdeen Central while I was in ACappella. I always looked forward to class--he was always smiling and encouraging. There is another shining star in heaven! Thanks to the Aman family for sharing him with us.
