Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Shane's passing. I only knew him in passing from frequently browsing his bookstore. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I have only been involve in sorting for the Pittsboro Library Book Sale for 4 years, but at my first book sale I saw Shane and was introduced to this whole new career for young men. I could read from the look in those beautiful blue eyes that the man and the occupation were perfectly matched - what a delight to see. Well, damn. This isn't going according to script. We were all supposed to retire out to the Old Booksellers Home, laugh at our bodies falling apart, sneak shots when the nurses weren't looking, and talk shop 'til the shadows got long.

Loved ones of Shane: This has hit us hard. The story Frizzell John hunted down~ just the sort of thing we'd be talking about out at the Home. A light has gone out in the world of words and ideas. In the world of the page peddlers, he was a good 'un....
