Not sure what to say?

Nona was a dear friend with whom I lived along with a small group of lay women at the convents of St. Ann and St. Martin in the Catholic Community of Englewood, Chicago IL, during 1968 and 1969. Nona had been part of the choir at St. Brendan's parish and worked as a cook at St Brendan's rectory. When she lived with us at St. Ann's she treated the nuns and all the women living there to her fabulous cooking - New Orleans dirty rice - wow! When I married Nona gave me a handful of recipes...

Manny & Kelly,

My most sincere condolences. I am so sorry to hear about Nona's passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Duane Summers
(Carol's Son)

I'm not sure where to start but I love this lady like a mother figure. She was my guidance secretary at Gonzales Primary for the last several years. I will miss your smiling face, compassionate heart and just us talking about the LORD. Nona take your rest and I know that you are smiling at the thought of eternal rest with the LORD. Manning, Kelly, Jaz, Kelsey and Lucil know that the Lord never makes any mistakes. You guys will be in my heart and prayers. Give all of your grief to the Lord....
