“I was so sorry to hear of uncle normans death. He was so special to my dad. Dad looked so forward to his visits as we all did . I can only say that there is comfort in knowing that he is now with his brothers, mom, dad and wife and others of his friends and family and most of all with God. Peace be with you Uncle Norman. We will always miss you.
“Pat and family so sorry for the loss of your brother.I had no idea until Rachel told me yesterday.Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
“I am so sorry to hear of Norman's passing. I knew him in the 1980s when he was a Communty College Professor and a marathon runner, with his daughter. He was a dedicated instructor, and a very loving father. He was a complicated man, but one of strong moral fiber, always at service to his community, and generous to those he could assist. My heart goes out to his daughter. I know she and her son will miss him very much. I hope he died pain free and at peace. He deserved that.
“I know that you didn't know this, but I always admired your strength and courage from the few stories you shared about your youth. Peace be with you.
“Marianne and Charlie
