Patricia A. Fairbanks

Patricia A. Fairbanks, 69, formerly of Waterbury, departed this life on Thursday, July 19, 2012, in Manchester.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Mikuszewski) Fairbanks. She was employed as a health care aide in Bristol at New Horizons Healthcare for several years. She was a talented quilt maker and liked to crochet and knit. She was also an accomplished seamstress who loved to sew clothes and fix things for her family and friends. Pat was also a lover of animals.

She is survived by six children; David Palomino and Ronda, Doreen Cook and Richard, Danny Palomino and Crystal, Dominick Palomino and Donna, Douglas Palomino and Colleen, and Dwayne Thomas and Sarah; a sister, Barbara Veci; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard; and a grandson, Billy. She is also survived by longtime friend Royal Isham.

Calling hours will be Sunday, July 22, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m. and concluding with a prayer at 3 p.m. at the D'Esopo - East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford.

Burial will be private.
