“I work at BB&T and Pat was a true friend of the branch. She opened up to us so much and shared her life with us, and always came in with a little smile that was filled with a lot of love and compassion. She had a true, genuine spirit of care and she became like a dear grandmother to me. She will be missed by all of us at the bank. Prayers and thoughts to all whose lives were touched by her.
“Such a sweet lady! My family lived on Oakland and were neighbors of Pats from 1965 to 2009 so we got to know Ms.Pat fairly well! With Sharon babysitting my son for several years that relationship became even sweeter. There wasn't a year that went by that Tanner didn't get a birthday card with $10. She was always so thoughtful. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed!
“Pat was like a grandmother to me. We had a special friendship. I will miss her dearly. I will hold your memory close to my heart forever Pat. Love you always.
“I met Pat in 1956 when I graduated from High School and went to work at the Telephone company. She became my very dear friend and we have remained friends all these year even though I live 6 hours away. Pat always called and checked on me and was wonderful about sending cards. I will miss her so much. I could always depend on her to brighten my day when I would call her. May she rest in peace. Love and prayers to the family.
“I worked with Pat for years and she was one of the most kind, thoughtful, fun people I've ever known. I can't say enough nice things about her. Even with the sadness in her life, she never dwelled on it. When I got my puppy, I took it over to her house & she loved on her & did love dogs SO much!! She sent cards to me when something was going on and at Christmas with a cute note in it - I'll miss that. She was a good friend & I'll miss her. Rest in peace Pat!
