Ralph was an entrepreneur, owning several businesses throughout his life. He was very intelligent with a wide range of knowledge. He was a self-taught mechanical engineer and could fabricate just about anything he set his mind to. He was also a musician. He played both piano and guitar, but piano was his favorite. He had a natural ear for music and passed this gift on to his grandchildren.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan McLaughlin, Samantha Deal, Aaron Rodriguez and wife, Echo, and Vanessa Rodriguez and great grandchildren, Natalie Rodriguez and Jade Rodriguez. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Joyce Deal, as well as Melodie Deal, his granddaughter, Samantha's mother.

Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Whittermore Deal and stepfather, Edward Deal. Ralph will be greatly missed.
