Randal, better known as "Big Dog" was born in Lafayette, LA to the late George and Mary Hebert Vallot. He was a certified diesel mechanic and worked at PHI on aircraft parts before becoming a bus driver for St. Martin Parish School Board while operating his own lawn service. Randal was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. His greatest joy came from helping others, which included mentoring young men and taking them under his wing. Randal would offer job opportunities, while doing outdoor activities with them. He served as a great role model and always enjoyed spending quality time with them. Randal was a loving husband, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to express their gratitude to the first responders for their immediate and diligent effort in their time of need.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 25 years, Deidra Daigle Vallot; sisters, Judy Stelly, and Sarah Gregory and husband Steve; mother-in-law, Adele Daigle; brothers-in-law, Troy Daigle and spouse Kelley, and Michael Daigle; sisters-in-law, Melanie Vallot, Agnes Berard and spouse Shelby, Tina Daigle, and Rachelle Daigle and companion Carl.
