“He taught me how to fish, my uncle randy was awesome, the last time I ever saw him he was in the hospital inviting me and my sister to go fishing again. He named all of his dogs and his cat shadow, I still he his last dog every time I visit my grandpa Billy.
“The Sherard Family is very sad to hear about Randy. Hallie and I have fond memories of visiting Norton when we were growing up, and always having a wonderful time at Randy's house. Our most recent trip was about 10 years ago when I brought my new husband to see Norton and meet Randy. It was a memorable trip....because of him. He will be sorely missed. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Randy's family. With much love and affection, The Sherard and Goodman Families.
“Doc was a true friend, I have known him for about 35 years and I don't think I ever saw him and when I got ready to leave he did not asked me if I needed anything. We had a lot of good times together. He introduced me to my wife and we were married on the lawn at his house in Powell Valley. There will never be another Doc, he broke the mold. Prayers to the family, we hurt with you in your loss.
“I had "Doc" as a homeroom teacher & the asst. principal at J.I. Burton ... he had the most infectious laugh & endearing smile !!!
“Sorry to hear of your loss, you are in our prayers.
