Not sure what to say?

Dear Winnie, I am so sorry for the loss of Bill. I was a student at UNCG '64-66 and worked with Bill in the NC Baptist Student Ministry. He gave me guidance and shared his wisdom not only with me,but all of us. Our paths crossed again in '97 and I was able to tell him of his impact on my life as well as thank him for what he meant to me. May God continue to hold you close as you walk this journey of grief. May you be comforted by God's great love for you and the knowledge that Bill is with...

Dear Smith family, I did not know Mr. Smith- Bill- personally- but know of him from Greg and his children Winnie and Lindsay- what a fine, outstanding man! I know you will miss him terribly here on earth-- he is now another saint for heaven. My most sincere condolences to you all.

Winnie and family,
My heart is full of sadness for the loss of such a special man....and yet full of happiness knowing where he is. Bill has been such a huge part of my family's life for so many years, and I can't imagine what it is going to be like going to church without him and seeing that huge smile of his. I plan to hold on to the HAPPY memories of the Brewers, Welches and Smiths going out to various church dinners, and ALWAYS having the loudest happiest table to be found. We...

Dear Winnie & Family, it is with sadness that I learned of Bill's death. He was a great help to me when we moved to Gibson-ville and served the church in Whitsett. I pray that you and your family will find peace and comfort through God who sustains us. Sorry, I can't be there for you.

Bill was a special friend and mentor as my Pastor at Pilgrim UCC in Durham, N.C. He supported me in our efforts to reform the Criminal Justice System. I was in care with Bill for ordination and was ordained in 1978. He was there in good times and hard times. Bless you, Bill

Winnie, I'm so sorry for the loss of Bill. He was fantastic at my mom's funeral. You both are very special. I will call you next week once things settle a bit. My thoughts and prayers are with you.c

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
