Durand, Richard Frank age 88, of Mpls., passed away August 19, 2013 from congestive heart failure. Preceded in death by wife, Eldora; daughter, Jeanne; parents, Frank and Bertha; brother, Donald. Served in the Navy in WWII as a TBF Avenger combat airman. Graduated from Howard Lake, MN High School, St.Cloud Teacher's College, graduate degrees from U of Minn. Boy Scout leader and merit badge counselor. Teacher and administrator for 36 years in Mpls. School Dist. #1. Avid fisherman - walleyes and pike in Northern lakes will rest easier now. Wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend. Survived by son, Curtis (Pam); grandchildren, Damon (Kelly), Michelle (Davin); and great-granddaughter, Eleanor; brother, Gerald (Pat) and various nieces & nephews.
