RICHARD-HIGGINS-Obituary

RICHARD HIGGINS

KILMARNOCK, Virginia

Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

Dr. Higgins worked on my teeth and those of my parents, husband and three children. He was a wonderful dentist with a professional but relaxed office. And of course he was a wonderful artist. I have a picture of his in my dining room which I love. I remember him fondly.

Uncle Dick was a favorite Uncle, I remember his hobbies, of building his own sailboat, and his remote airplane construction and flying them, as well as his private plane flying. As a dentist he worked on my teeth a time or two. In his retirement he really perfected his art, and I remember the day he showed our daughter some of his tips in his art work. I am glad he was able to live as long as he did. He told me that he wanted his retirement home to look west so he could see the setting...

Our thoughts are with friendly and talented June, my longtime waterman friend, artist and pen pal Glenn; unique and thoughtful Rick, Sue Ann and Wendy. We've lost a wonderful, curious, thoughtful man. I'll miss him. A father, professional, artist, and all around cool guy. (Glenn told me). Interesting, and interested in others. I'm so happy to have met "R Higgins" and June, and their dog Tag. I'm lucky to have his painting, "Loblolly Pine" in our house. I'll think of...

Rest in peace my dearest Uncle.
Ronald Hart, son of his younger sister, Marjory Ann

Dear June,

So sorry for your loss. I think of you often and I will make a big effort to come down to visit soon. Sorry I can't get down for the funeral.

Big Hugs,
Joanie (McKeever)

Extending my sincere sympathy and condolences to June and the Family. Regrets, Meade

Dearest Friends, Yes a time to celebrate Dicks life as he was much bigger than life itself. He will be missed, but his love for his family and friends will live on forever. A true gentleman..My thoughts are with you all..
