“Hi Vivian, Chuck, Marilyn-- and family. Was recently writing an essay on my grandfather (Donald Raney), Dick Sr., and others-- on all the blessings they gave us. I never met Richard-- but in reading on his life I am certain he could have provided much wisdom to conversation. My you continue to experience all the blessings of his wonderful life in this new year- and those to follow.
“Dick brightened everyone's day when he walked the CCO hallways. His sense of humor and broadcasting annecdotes are legendary. He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to Dick's family.
“My Dear Vivian,
Many years have passed since we spent time together at Plymouth, but I could never forget you and Dick.We had some wonderful times. Dick was a super guy and I know you will always miss him.I just moved from Houston TX to Cleveland OH.
Blessings to you and the girls.
“Dick was a great person. I wish I could juggle for you. Love Isaac.
“What a pleasure working with Dick at WCCO-TV and at my own studios. Bright, friendly, funny...not enough words to describe Dick. He will be missed and not forgotten.
“Hey Dick: To know you from our days at 'CCO TV 50 years ago... wow, was I lucky.
Love to the family... allan lotsberg
I couldn't ask for better Godparents. The good Lord was watching over me the day I was adopted into this family just like he will be watching over Uncle Dick for eternity. He will be sorely missed.
Love you both.
So sad to learn of Dick's passing. Jim and I have fond memories of afternoon visits to the two of you. His love of life always put a smile on all that spent time near him.
Terri and Jim
Wish I were there for you. I love you, man!
