To The Aitkin Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing - May your fond memories help you through this very sad time. Your wonderful neighbors and our thoughts and prayers go out to you all!

The Zuehlsdorff Family

Leann, Bill and Dan,

We are so terribly shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We just found out tonight and unfortunately we are unable to attend the service and the mass and funeral tomorrow.

Hockey and high school seems like eons ago.

Bob was a very good man. We are sorry that he wasn't able to enjoy a long retirement and sad to know that he had to suffer. He is finally at peace and in God's hands now, looking down at all of you.

I remember Bob from Mounds View High School where he was a classmate of mine. Coincidentally, my twin daughters, Emily & Elizabeth were classmates of Bill. I will share this with Bob's MVHS classmates - with sympathy. Jacci Stahl Krebsbach MVHS '64

To the Aitkin Family:
I grew up with you guys and consider myself part of your family. I have always felt welcome in your home. When I came over I was always greeted by Bob with a smile, a "Hi Mikey how are ya?" and a comical exchange Bob and I had developed on one of many trips to your cabin. Dan, I see a lot of your dad in you and that is something to be extremely proud of. I know you'll continue to make him smile as he watches you be the stand-up guy I've been fortunate...

Leann, Arlan and families, I was shocked and saddened by the news of Bob's passing. I got to know Bob when we joined together in Ojibwemowin classes at the UofM to do our presentations. When I first came to this area from Washington state, and was holding teaching sweats, Bob made a point of participating until others started to come. At which time he went back to participating in his previous commitment to Mitch's lodge. (Bob was like that about his commitments...always to be honored) I was...

Bob was so wonderful to everyone he met, and had great words of wisdom for any situation. Even though he may have been in pain, he danced at Drum and Dance and at Pow Wow's all over the Native American Community. We all loved him. Nation Wright and Patricia Mellang
