Not sure what to say?

June 1980, COL Blevins gathered all the new lieutenants in his command to address us on leadership. 32 years later I still feel like I had my butt chewed for earning a commission. The Colonels message was direct and clear, you are young and learning to be leaders...do not ruin any of my soldiers in the process. He had very high standards that he instilled in every shave tail in the room that day. Rest in peace General.

To the Blevins Family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Blevins, we saw it in the BSM newsletter. Sincere sympathy, Jim (past faculty)and Rose Ryan

What a shock to learn of Bob's passing at
this late date. My deepest sympathies go out to you Ginger and your family. I had the honor of being, then Captian Blevins first AST at the Academy. He was always very professional and very supportive of me in this position. As our parted for a time, the General always kept in touch. To call Bob a mentor would be an understatement as he
much more and a person I'm proud to call
a friend. We will all miss him....

Ginger, I am sorry to hear that Bob has left us. It was a surprise to find his obituary while catching up with the last two weeks. My sympathy to you and to all those around you.

Ginger and family:

Bob was a true leader and a wonderful boss. I will always treasure my time spent with him as a young Air Guard officer working for the Army Guard Colonel in the Techncian Personnel Office. I just found out about his passing from Janet Deppa today and am sorry I missed his funeral.

Dear Ginger & Family, I did not learn of Bob's passing until Monday at our weekly CHS '47 gathering at Mc Donald's. I had hoped bob would be able to join us at our as yet unscheduled 65 years luncheon. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I had known Bob since we were classmates at Cretin & had admired his military achievements. We will remember Bob & you in our prayers. Bill Klett

General Blevins was the consummate gentleman. Always willing to help out in any way that he could. I have many fond memories of him. My sympathy to all his family.

I was shocked to learn of Mr. Blevins Death. He and Ginger and every family member created such a warm friendly atmosphere when I came over to the house to visit when I lived on Washburn. I always felt welcomed. I know my Mom and Dad also welcomed the friendship of Mr. and Mrs. Blevins. And I will never forget seeing him when my Father died in Sun City.

Thank you all for you memories and support. My grandfather was an amazing man and touched my heart deeply. It is wonderful to hear so many felt the same way. He has taught me SO many things in life that I will take with me as it goes on. Grandpa, I miss you so much and I love you very much. Thank you all again for your support!
