I'm so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing, I only found out today. Bobby was a great cousin, and just all around nice guy. I will miss exchanging jokes with him via e-mail. Again, I'm so sorry for the loss of Bobby.
“I always looked forward to having lunch with Bob & Scotty when I came out to visit Scotty. They always knew where the best southern cookin' was. It is a fun memory. Of course Scotty & Bob would usually get into some sort of heated discussion over lunch. That was part of the fun.
“Bob was my sergeant the first shift I worked as a police officer in Richmond. As a young 23 year old, his humor and thoughtfulness made that first night special. He always had a positive word for me. Good guy, good cop!
“My first shift sergeant. Me right out of Cal into the jaws of Richmond. Could not have asked for a better mentor and guide than Bob. A patriot, a real police, a genuine human being and above all a good guy. We have all lost a good man.
“My first police mentor. Could not have had a better one. A patriot, a fair boss and above all a good guy. We have all lost a brother.
Lynne and I are sorry for you loss. Bob, or Bobby as I called him was one of a kind.
As a young officer, Bob was one of my sergeants.
Bless you and bless his spirit.
“Nada, may God bless you with the peace that goes beyond understanding during this time. Love from Rhonda Shankles
“Bob, was one of a kind. I always enjoyed his stories. My heart goes out to his family, I will always thank of him and have a smile on my face.
“Condolences to my dear dear friend Scotty on the passing of his father. Love, Sher
